DESCRIPTION:The Ridge Rally is California’s only active stage rally\, organized by Rodnoc Racing and held each December in and around Tehachapi\, roughly 90 minutes north of Los Angeles. Hosted in Kern County\, the event features over 140 stage miles across varied terrain — sweeping desert roads through Jawbone Canyon\, switchbacks\, hairpins\, and a 4\,000-foot elevation change throughout. \nThe rally has grown steadily since joining the American Rally Association calendar\, upgrading from a Regional event in 2024 to a Super Regional in 2025\, making it part of the ARA West Championship. Rodnoc Racing built the event with the same spirit that drives their RallyX series — making stage rally welcoming and accessible to a new generation of racers and fans in Southern California. \nRunning Ridge requires around 150 volunteers willing to spend two days in the high desert\, and it remains one of the few places where spectators can get genuinely close to top-level stage rally competition.
