SUMMARY:National Auto Sport Association Utah – Outer Track + Friday 2-Hour Enduro
DESCRIPTION:National Auto Sport Association Utah Round 5 weekend at Utah Motorsports Campus (Outer track) in Tooele\, UT\, headlined by the Sunchaser 6-Hour Endurance Race on Sunday August 2nd. This is one of the most popular weekends on the NASA Utah calendar — drivers travel from across the region to compete\, and the Sunchaser adds a dimension that a standard race weekend can’t match: the race starts in the heat of the afternoon and runs into the dark\, making it a genuine endurance challenge rather than just a longer sprint. The weekend offers four participation formats: \n**High Performance Driving Education (HPDE)** is the entry point for drivers new to track events. Four experience levels are available — HPDE 1 guarantees an in-car instructor; HPDE 2 is for drivers who have been signed off to run on their own; HPDE 3 features more relaxed passing rules and faster traffic; HPDE 4 is for advanced drivers with open passing and requires pre-approval from the group leader. There is no timing or scoring in HPDE 1 through 3. A complete tech inspection form is required before getting on track — forms can be submitted through a local ASE-certified shop or at the NASA tech station\, which opens at 7:30am each morning. \n**Time Trial** is combined with HPDE 4 and uses open passing. Competitors run against the clock in structured sessions\, with grid positions for sessions 2 through 4 set by lap times. A NASA Time Trial license and current car classification are required. Each Time Trial car must display four NASA stickers. \n**Sprint Racing** is wheel-to-wheel competition in organized race groups. A NASA Competition Racing license and current medical examination are required. \n**Sunchaser 6-Hour Endurance Race** is NASA Utah’s signature event — a team endurance race that begins in daylight and finishes after dark. It’s one of the premier amateur endurance challenges on the West Coast and draws competitors who don’t typically attend standard race weekends. \nAll participants must pass a tech inspection before driving. Door number cards are available for purchase at Driver Information for $4.50 each — tape numbers are accepted but will not appear in event photography. NASA membership is required — annual memberships and event registration are available at members.drivenasa.com.

SUMMARY:National Auto Sport Association Northwest – Portland International Raceway (Summer Sizzle)
DESCRIPTION:National Auto Sport Association Northwest weekend at Portland International Raceway in Portland\, OR. Portland International Raceway is a 1.915-mile\, 12-turn road course situated along the Columbia River\, one of the most storied road racing facilities in the Pacific Northwest. The event offers four participation formats: \n**High Performance Driving Education (HPDE)** gives drivers the opportunity to learn and develop track driving skills in a safe\, professionally staffed environment. Four experience levels are available — HPDE 1 guarantees an in-car instructor for drivers new to track events; HPDE 2 is for drivers signed off to run independently at HPDE 1 speeds; HPDE 3 builds toward more open passing by the end of the weekend; HPDE 4 is for advanced drivers with open passing and requires pre-approval from the Chief Instructor. Passengers are permitted in HPDE 3 and 4 with group leader approval for passengers 18 and older. A complete tech inspection is required before getting on track. \n**Time Trial** is for licensed competitors running against the clock. NASA Time Trial is open to a wide range of vehicles — production cars\, converted race cars\, prototypes\, and electric vehicles — with weight-to-horsepower ratios used for fair class structure. A current NASA Time Trial license is required. Drivers who have not participated in a NASA Time Trial event within the last two years must contact jperry@drivenasa.com for screening and approval prior to registering. \n**Sprint Racing** is wheel-to-wheel competition in a friendly\, sportsmanship-focused regional race series. A current 2026 NASA Competition License and approved medical on file with NASA are required. Drivers who have not participated in a NASA race group event within the last two years must contact jperry@drivenasa.com for approval prior to registering. \n**New Racer Competition School** is available for advanced HPDE drivers or drivers with prior racing experience who want to obtain their NASA Provisional Racing License. The school covers race starts\, restarts\, side-by-side driving\, and flag review. Prospective participants must create a NASA profile\, submit a Provisional License Application\, and receive approval from the event directors before registering. \n**Pro Pass** upgrade includes early entry\, priority parking\, a morning track walk with the Chief Driving Instructor\, and access to the NASA Lounge with snack bar. \nNASA membership is required for all participants ($79/year). Registration at track includes an additional $50 fee. Register in advance at members.drivenasa.com.

SUMMARY:National Auto Sport Association Utah – QuadDuro + Friday 2-Hour Enduro
DESCRIPTION:National Auto Sport Association Utah Round 7 QuadDuro weekend at Utah Motorsports Campus in Tooele\, UT — the season finale. The QuadDuro is the highlight of the NASA Utah calendar: drivers get to experience all of the track configurations the facility has to offer across a single weekend\, without driving to another state for a different track. New for 2026\, a 2-hour endurance race on the Outer track has been added on Friday to kick off the weekend. The event offers three participation formats: \n**High Performance Driving Education (HPDE)** is the entry point for drivers new to track events. Four experience levels are available — HPDE 1 guarantees an in-car instructor for drivers who have never been on track; HPDE 2 is for drivers signed off to run independently\, dedicated to learning and progression at HPDE 1 speeds; HPDE 3 features more relaxed passing rules and faster traffic\, requiring a NASA Passport and instructor sign-off; HPDE 4 is for advanced drivers with open passing skills and requires pre-approval from the group leader or Chief Instructor. There is no timing or scoring in HPDE 1 through 3. A complete tech inspection form is required before getting on track — forms can be submitted through a local ASE-certified shop or at the NASA tech station\, which opens at 7:30am each morning. Door number cards are available for purchase at Driver Information for $4.50 each. \n**Time Trial** is combined with HPDE 4 and uses open passing. A NASA Competition Racing license and current medical examination are required. \n**2-Hour Endurance Race (Friday\, Outer Track)** is new for 2026 — a team endurance race on the Outer track configuration to open the weekend before the QuadDuro begins. \nAll participants must pass a tech inspection before driving.
