San Diego Region SCCA autocross at Lake Elsinore Storm Stadium, 500 Diamond Dr, Lake Elsinore, CA. Autocross is a timed competition where drivers navigate a course marked by cones on a paved surface, one car at a time against the clock. Speeds stay well below highway speed — the emphasis is on car control, precision, and consistency rather than outright pace.

This is a work/run event: all drivers are required to work a corner or similar assignment when not competing. Registration and tech open at 7:30am; mandatory drivers meeting at 8:45am; first car out at 9:30am. Any street-legal car that passes a basic safety inspection is eligible. SCCA membership is required — weekend memberships are available at the event for $20. Helmets required; loaners may be available. A novice coordinator is on hand to help first-timers get acclimated.
